This app provides the same info as the trusty Merck Manual my family relied on since I can remember (its still on the bookshelf BTW). Truly great to see this new app in the app store. - Free (What?? last time I checked it was like $20) - No Ads (not a "lite" version either, the real deal) - Its all downloaded to your phone (no wifi or phone signal needed - and thats when you likely need it the most) Also, downloaded the Pro version, its free as well and gives you the next level info to be a real know it all.

Very straightforward and easy to use. Its great to have the knowledge of the entire Merck Manual in the palm of my hand, regardless of a wifi connection. The educational videos are very interactive and excellent quality! I recommend this app to anyone who wants their medical info on the go.

Thank you for making a non-Skyscape Merck. This is amazing. And its no sign up or wifi needed. Also for the price, its great. 10 stars if I could.

The Merck Manual Home Edition should be on everyones bookshelf! It explains all diseases and medical information in simple and easy to understand terms. This is a great reference for everyone. I have used the Merck Manual Home Edition for many years. I am so happy to see that someone FINALLY decided to make this available not the iPhone! *Explore the Index contents *Browse by Sections *Injuries and Emergencies section, teaches you How To and what to do in emergencies (choking, frostbite etc.) With Photos. *Global Search by key words *History, tracking to review the sections you have already read *Favorites, to bookmark the sections that are important to you. *Random bottom to take you to random sections of the book This application has everything you need. And more importantly it is fast. If you are looking of a medical reference, look no further. This is the one to get!

It is simply incredible to have this much information wherever you go. There is so much content here its unbelievable. I was skeptical of spending 10 bucks, but after doing it Im very happy. Get this!

This is a great medical application/companion. Indeed, a great portable medical encyclopedia. I find it extremely useful, and now cant do without it. Great!!

As a physical therapist assistant student this app is awsome. I recommend it to any student in the medical profession. I can study things no matter where I am.

I am a doctor and made a mistake to buy it. If you are in health care profession dont wate your money.

Very well explained. Very cheap taking into account all the information you will have in your hands. This is the Home Edition is not intended for Doctors, there is another version named Professional Edition for that audience.

In the past I have owned hard copies of the Merck Manual and they were wonderful. And that is why I didnt think twice of spending my hard earned money for a The Merck Manual - Home Edition. But dont waste your money because you can get the same information if you just Google it and not be out $9.99.

I not only use the Merck Manuel Home Edition on a regular basis, but I recommend it often. It is an excellent source of medical information written in language so that the average lay person can understand it.

Not that I complain about the app. Its pretty good & I use it a lot. However, after buying the home edition I realize that I do need the professional one. But how I suppose to upgrade. So would you please add an option so I can upgrade home edition to professional one. Thanks   

As a research nurse working with many populations and rare diseases, I frequently come upon diagnoses and disorders that I have not worked with before. Having the Merck Manual in my pocket so I have it at my fingertips at all times has been invaluable. Having the favorites icon allows me to store those things I come upon most frequently in one place and access them quickly. It is concise and very readable and is accessed almost daily. Best of all, you do not need internet access which is an excellent bonus and critical to my usage.

The Merck Manual for decades and decades has been THE reference tool to learn about any illness. It is the gold standard! Now in the digital age and the incredible iPhone age, the Merck Manual has arrived as an App on the iPhone! It is well done and easy to read, and very thorough! We all care about our health! This App is a gift at 10 bucks! It is thorough and the best App on the topic! Please invest in this App would be my advice to everyone! You will be wiser and healthier!!!!!!

This is a good resource and has been useful to me more than once. You could probably dig out the same info with some Google searches, but this app makes it so much easier!

Needs an update to take advantage of the larger screen size of the iPhone 5.
